This is the story of a beautiful cat, Sprinkles Fields, loved by Troy and Susan. Sprinkles came to us at Cumberland Valley because she was losing weight. Her appetite was aggressive, but the weight loss was significant. Underneath her beautiful coat, thick as a lion and proud, was a thin, emaciated skeleton. The slow insidious disease hid under her coat. Cats tend to hide their illnesses from us caretakers. Even though she was acting “herself,” her problems came to light one day when the Fields family said, “She is really getting thin.”
