Had to remove a straight pin from a puppy Rotty named Harlie Woods. Everything turned out well. So why does a dog eat a straight pin? I don't know...pica is a real trouble maker in veterinary medicine.

As the Fall season quickly approaches, it is very important to remember that fleas and ticks do not disappear. With the movement of deer and wildlife, ticks are actually worse in the fall than they are in the spring. Seed ticks are nasty creatures that are hard to identify, but can wreck your dog's health, not to mention yours.
The ingrown hairs caused the granuloma to form and we treated the ulcerative and infection for 3 weeks with antibiotics. However it was still bothering the dog so we surgically removed it with no complications.
We welcomed a litter of seven beautiful puppies into the world on Saturday evening. Mamma and her Poodle/Bichon-mix pups are doing great.
